"Lunacy" by Andrew McCarthy
Printed on Metal or Archival Rag paper
A northern hemisphere view of one of my most detailed lunar portraits ever, at a phase that highlights some of my favorite features. See the glowing rim of copernicus, the shadowed floor of Tycho, the sinuous Hadley Rille, and the bizarre Rupes Recta. All on my most detailed lunar print available to date.
Each print is created from the 400 megapixel image, a composite created from over a hundred thousand photos captured on a stunningly crisp evening in early October.
For paper prints, the size indicated is the "leaf size", which will include a 1" white border for handling and framing. The frame is a molded wood with acrylic cover, including a simple white matting.
Metal prints are fabricated using a proprietary printing process that boasts a non-reflective surface that allows for the deepest display of color and contrast available for print. The image is printed right to the edge of the material.
