The incredibly dynamic Bubble Nebula is one of my favorite celestial targets. Stellar winds form the gorgeous pearl shape, creating an illusion that a bubble is floating in space. Really, you're just looking at some gas that has been pushed into a sphere. The bubble itself is about 3.5 Light Years wide and just over 7,000 light years from Earth.
For those of you interested, the raw data from this shot has been uploaded to my dropbox associated with my patreon account, so you too can learn how these images go from unprocessed data to a final image, an important part of learning astrophotography.
